What should you do after the new gas safety certificate arrives?
Update the next due date the same day, store the PDF with the property, give tenants their copy, and reset reminders for the new anniversary. Do not leave the old calendar entry as your only source of truth.

Find the current gas safety anniversary
Open the latest landlord gas safety record for the property. Note the check date and treat the next due date as 12 months later unless the record states an earlier date. Write the address and due date on one line.

Create alerts at 30, 7 and 1 day
In your phone calendar or reminder app, set three alerts before the due date: 30 days (book the engineer), 7 days (confirm the appointment), and 1 day (final check that the visit happened). Name the event with the property label and “Gas Safety”.

When the 30-day alert fires, book a Gas Safe registered engineer. Keep the booking confirmation with the property file so you can prove action if the visit slips.

Issue the record and reset the next cycle
