Certs Reminder is a UK-focused certificate expiry reminder service. This notice describes the information we use to operate the website, the free reminder product, and related emails. For questions, use the contact form.
What we collect
Account details you provide (name, email, password). Certificate files you upload and the dates and labels you confirm. Optional waitlist or contact-form messages. Technical logs needed to run the site (such as session cookies).
Contact form messages are stored so we can reply even if email delivery fails. If Google Analytics is configured, we may collect aggregated usage data about public pages. We also store page-path counts (how often public pages are opened) to operate the product. Marketing emails may include a tiny tracking image so we can record whether a message was opened. If Inspectlet is configured, we may record session replays (clicks, scrolling, and mouse movement) to understand how the website is used. Password fields are not recorded. We do not use that data to invent customer counts or public reviews.
Why we use it
To create and secure your account, store certificates you upload, send reminder and service emails (including 30, 7 and 1 day expiry notices), reply to enquiries, understand which public pages are used, and keep the product working.
We use infrastructure providers (hosting, email delivery) as processors to run the service. We do not sell your personal information.
How long we keep it
Account and certificate data is kept while the account is active so reminders can be sent. You can ask us to delete an account via the contact form. Server logs are kept only as long as needed for security and operations.
Your rights
Depending on UK data protection law, you may ask to access, correct, or delete personal data we hold, or to object to certain processing. Email us through the contact page and we will respond.
This page is a practical notice, not a substitute for a full legal opinion. If we add paid processing or new data uses, we will update this page.
